The illustrator of Molly Kite & Company is one talented dude. Russ Cox the talented digital illustrator of Smiling Otis studios has brought to life author Tam Veilleux’s vision of characters Molly Kite, Faith, Banjo, Johnny Poe, and Nana Whacky. His creative style perfectly suits the energy, vibrancy and zest of the individuals portrayed in the stories.

In his own words:

“RUSS COX was raised by a pack of crazed hillbillies in the back woods of Tennessee.Without much in the way of modern conveniences, like a television set or running water, he spent his time drawing and whittling away the hours, often dreaming of the joys of a shower. After dismantling his grandfather’s lawn mower engine, and without a clue on how to get it back together, he soon realized that he did not have an automotive bone in his body. While in high school, Russ developed an interest in design and a passion for music. After graduating high school he got his education at a local art school. With a portfolio in his hand, he ventured into the world of design and illustration. He opened his own studio, Smiling Otis Studio, where he presently specializes in illustration, Flash animation and logo design. Recently he and ma packed up the wagon and headed to the wilderness of Maine where they have setup a homestead in Pittsfield. When not drawing, running amok in the snow, or training their four cats to sing Bohemian Rhapsody, Russ enjoys some quiet time with his banjo while also taking in the beauty of Maine. His wife would prefer him to play the triangle or build a sound proof room.

It was through fate (which Tam prefers to call Law of Attraction) that Tam and Russ found one another. Modern technology led one to the other through an online children’s illustrator forum where they soon discovered they lived only an hour and half apart. An attraction to colorful art styles and a mutual love for illustration created an online friendship that soon turned into a published book. For more of Russ Cox’s work please see: www.SmilingOtis.com

What you think about is what you get. What you focus your attention on is what comes to fruition in your reality. This is the law of attraction.

For children that can be a big concept which is why I brought Molly Kite to life. I wanted to teach kids, and their parents, about dreaming big dreams, believing in them, trusting that “thy will be done” and watching the dream blossom into an amazing result. I want everyone to stop building their life through default and start having meaningful direction with their thought processes.

Natural laws such as the Law of Attraction are alive and well in each of our lives, we may as well use it in a way that is beneficial to us. Molly Kite and the colorful cast of characters will teach your kids heart centered living. Follow along with me as I introduce the characters to you one at a time.

The handmade rag doll made by the loving hands of Nana Whacky is named Faith. Fortunately, Molly Kite was born with Faith at her side. She has never known life without it.

If you were to offer Molly a very fine porcelain doll with expensive clothing and moving joints, special shoes and shining glass eyes you would hear her say “Oh no, thank you~!! My Faith is simple and easy to have with me all the time. There is nothing fancy about Faith, she is easy to be with because she’s all natural and easy to hang on to. I don’t need anything fancy or expensive when I have my trusted friend.” I’m absolute positive Molly Kite would squeeze Faith and hug her to her heart, too!

Like the homemade simple doll named Faith trusting in a higher power to magically move their lives will bring children a great sense of ease. Faith in a higher power is indeed easy to handle, simple to hold on to and it comes straight from the heart. Encourage your children to believe in the strength and guidance of Faith.

Your little one has just announced their wildest dream ever, now what?!

No matter how outrageous, silly or simply impossible your child’s dream may be – don’t squash it. Whatever you do, don’t frown, scowl or shake your head at the ideas of your small one. They don’t yet understand potential obstacles. And really why should they? Their wide eyes and sugar pie faces are full of innocence and belief in the extraordinary. Nurture that part of them. Choose to engage them in imagining the best possible outcomes for whatever it was they wished for. No mocking or shame can be present in your words or actions because they will feel it and respond to it. “Impossible” doesn’t even register with them, allow them to grow up without knowing the meaning of the word.
Have the faith that your child holds. Maintain trust in the unseen forces that surround you and know that “thy will be done”. You don’t need to know how nor does your child , you both only need to believe and hold that thought in a positive light for the sake of all future dreams. The universal Law of Attraction will weave its way into the fabric of your lives.

Who is the young dreamer in your life that needs a lift?

Recognize the need for children of all ages to feel their dreams are heard. Support the wishes, the bigger than life dreams, and the far out imaginings of everyone.

As simple human beings we cannot know what amazing things are available to us until we ask for big results. When the someone in your life expresses a desire to be the best balloon animal maker in the city of Tokyo, believe him or her, and encourage the many small steps it would take to achieve that goal. Is someone near you wishing to be the biggest fund raiser for the local hospital? Reinforce the idea by believing in their potential to do so. Recognize that dreaming is the first step in “having” it all. Taking the action steps, recognizing universal energies and stepping into the dream will come, but for now ENCOURAGE THE DREAMER TO DREAM.

Amazing results are sure to happen as energy around the end goal grows through lovingly preserved dreaming.

“Molly Kite Has Faith” is a fully illustrated children’s book about a big dream and a positive end result. Buy better media for your children. Molly Kite is available at Booklocker.com and is also available as an audio or ebook.

Little ones need to understand that there are energies swirling around them ready and willing to make their dreams and wishes come true. Encourage your children to let their dreams become real by offering these goals to a higher power. The law of attraction may be a big concept that small children do not yet grasp, but by stimulating our kids into speaking of their dreams we acknowledge that they are indeed capable of being real.

Faith is simple.

The doll that Molly Kite carries is named Faith. She, the doll Faith, represents a simple concept: Believing in a Higher Power. Molly Kite keeps Faith at her side through all of her seven year old adventures. She whispers her dreams, her secrets, her questions to Faith and trusts without questioning that an answer will be provided.

Faith is not fussy or difficult. Faith is simple. Keep Faith at your side, too. See how quickly your dreams come alive. Always have Faith
